There are several important varieties of sweet orange, grown for direct sale or processing into orange juice. Cold pressing the peel allows the oil to be collected while the rest of the fruit is crushed for juice. Oil extracted from orange peel has a high content of D-limonene an ingredient widely used in the perfume industry.
USAGE:
- for massage: combine 5 – 10 drops of essence with 10 ml of base oil such as argan, raspberry seed or jojoba and enjoy your own massage oil
- for bathing: 5 – 7 drops of essence add to a bathtub with water, optimal bath time is 15 minutes
- aromatherapy: add 5 to 8 drops of oil to water in an aroma fireplace or ultrasonic diffuser
- inhalation: add a few drops of oil to hot water, cover your head with a towel and inhale the rising steam
