Lemongrass, native to Southeast Asia, is a member of the important grass family Poaceae or Graminae. It is most commonly associated with Southeast Asian cuisine, but is also grown in Sri Lanka, southern India, parts of Africa, South America and the Caribbean. In many of these countries, lemongrass is often used to make medicinal teas, as well as for cooking or to make oil.
USAGE:
- add a few drops of lemongrass essential oil to your daily cleanser or moisturizer to help tone and cleanse the skin
- for massage: combine 5 – 10 drops of essence with 10 ml of base oil such as argan, raspberry seed or jojoba and enjoy your own massage oil
- for bathing: 5 – 7 drops of essence add to a bathtub with water, optimal bath time is 15 minutes
- aromatherapy: add 5 to 8 drops of oil to water in an aroma fireplace or ultrasonic diffuser
- inhalation: add a few drops of oil to hot water, cover your head with a towel and inhale the rising steam
