DID YOU KNOW THAT…

Ylang-ylang is a prized oil extracted from the flowers of the tropical Cananga tree. The fast-growing, evergreen Cananga tree is a valuable source of wood and fiber, and the fragrant flowers make amazing decorations. The name Ylang-ylang comes from the Tagalog language in Austrasia and is variously translated as ‘desert’ or ‘flower of flowers.

USAGE:

• addition to a cream or lotion as an enhancer of daily skin care for the face and body – just 2 drops of oil added to a portion of the cosmetic is enough to feel and see its power
• apply to the wrists for a sweet, floral perfume.
• add to carrier oil for a deep conditioner for hair
• for massage: combine 5 – 10 drops of essence with 10 ml of base oil such as argan, raspberry seed or jojoba and enjoy your own massage oil
• for bathing: 5 – 7 drops of essence add to a bathtub with water, optimal bath time is 15 minutes
• aromatherapy: add 5 to 8 drops of oil to a diffuser. Remember not to use essential oil with an aromatherapy fireplace. Heating destroys its properties, and with some essences it can even be harmful
• inhalation: add a few drops of oil to hot water, cover your head with a towel and inhale the rising steam
